This is the view from one of the windows in my entrance station. The station is called Maverick, for this mountain. I had to take the picture because the ocotillo is blooming. It's out of season, and it hasn't rained for a little while, so there aren't any leaves on it. For those who aren't familiar with this desert plant, it grows leaves when it's been wet, and drops them when it has dried out, independant of season. Usually it blooms in the Spring, regardless of weather.
