I'm posting the pictures in waves, as I have already spend an hour at the computer and want to quit playing around. Also we took more than 250 pictures on our vacation, and deciding which ones to post is taking a long time. So I'm posting our first few days to start. We stopped at Capulin Volcano National Monument and then spent two nights at Great Sand Dunes National Park. Sam loved both places, but I think he preferred the Dunes because of Medano Creek. He played for over two hours, splashing and building and demolishing and just having a wonderful time. Awyn is a great camper, and Sam did pretty good too, sleeping in his own sleeping bag, provided by his Aunt Debbie and Uncle Chad. Awyn slept in a portable swing at Sam's feet.
On first day of our trip, Wednesday, we went to visit Dr. Merrill Horne for Awyn's 2 month check-up. She did great, screaming when the nurse got too close, and really let them see how well her little lungs work. She has a powerful scream! She got three shots, 5 vaccines. Her measurements were: 23.25" long, and 12 lbs 10 oz.
She also was given some eye drops for a gummy eye and some medicine for reflux. She is growing really well, and that weight puts her at the 90-95 percentile, with her lengths a little more toward normal at 75%.
We also went to Sears and had two month pictures taken. I think there is a way to view them online, so I'll try to find out how. You'll have to e-mail me for the link info.
