Day after a Snowstorm

The Saturday after Thanksgiving we had a snowstorm. These pictures were all taken the day after - as the snow was melting. Still, it did linger up on the mountains behind our house. Very pretty.

For Keri

Here, Keri! I'm posting a picture of the mountains behind my house, with snow on them. For those of you in Port Angeles, these peaks are actually at the same elevation as Hurricane Ridge. Their names, from left to right, are Pummel, Wright, and Panther.

Mama Stamberg's Cranberry Relish

Here we have the final product - with the sugar, sour cream, and yes, horseradish. Eric put it into two containers so that we would have some for Christmas as well. He's so thoughtful!

Daddy's turn

Not to be outdone by his son, Eric drank some of the juice.

Yum!

Sam kept drinking that awful juice - unsweetened cranberry & onion juice. Blech!

Helping Dad

Eric is making his annual batch of Mama Stamberg's cranberry relish. Sam is helping by putting the berries and onions into the meat grinder.

Thanksgiving lunch in Terlingua

Sam's preschool class was invited to join in the annual Thanksgiving meal at the Terlingua school by Ms. Davine's pre-K class. You can see Sam in this picture next to Mrs. Kelling (standing), with food in his hands and mouth. Eric went on this field trip as one of the parents/drivers.
